Just Dropped: New TobyMac Collab Adds Powerful Sound to Daniel and the Fiery Furnace
From a new TobyMac collaboration to an original score by Tyler Michael Smith, some of Christian music’s biggest names are lending their talents to the new biblical epic from EKKL Entertainment opening in theaters September 18.
With Daniel and the Fiery Furnace just days away from its theatrical release, a new song is giving audiences another way to step into the story.
“Walk Thru Fire,” a new collaboration from Trevor McNevan featuring GRAMMY-winning artist TobyMac, is the latest musical addition to the upcoming biblical epic—and its message fits the story at the heart of the film.
The song, which was released September 4, will appear during the film’s end credits. Written by McNevan and produced by McNevan and Micah Kuiper, “Walk Thru Fire” captures the courage and conviction at the center of Daniel’s story: standing firm in your faith when the pressure to compromise is overwhelming.
Now, the official music video brings that message to life.
A Growing Creative Team Behind the Film
“Walk Thru Fire” isn’t the only musical contribution giving Daniel and the Fiery Furnace an extra layer.
Composer Tyler Michael Smith created the film’s original score, crafting the music that carries audiences through Daniel’s journey and the story’s emotional and spiritual moments. His work inspired his father, legendary Christian artist Michael W. Smith, to join the film as an executive producer.
The result is a musical world that includes both the sweeping original score and a soundtrack featuring Christian artists whose music reflects the movie’s themes of courage, conviction and faith under pressure. The soundtrack will be released September 18 and includes TobyMac, Trevor McNevan, Project of Love, Phil King, Aaron Shust, Miqedem and Sarah Smith.
